Former Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius in fresh parole bid

South African Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius was Friday seeking an early release from prison, a decade after he killed his girlfriend in a crime that gripped the world. After serving half of his sentece, Pistorius, 37, filed a request for parole in March 2023. While a parole board rejected the bid, a later ruling from the Constitutional Court allowed Pistorius to appear before the board on Friday.
