Sudan war, one year on: The unfolding of a humanitarian crisis

Sudan is now a year into a war between rival military factions that has killed thousands, forced millions to flee and created a humanitarian catastrophe. The UN has repeatedly warned that Sudan is at risk of experiencing one of the worst humanitarian disasters in decades. An estimated 3 million Sudanese children are malnourished and a quarter of hospitals in the country are no longer functioning according to the UN.
