UN sounds alarm over influx of Sudan refugees to neighbouring countries

More than 2 million of the 8.6 million displaced people in Sudan have crossed to neighbouring countries since fighting started a year ago. Hundreds of thousands have fled to Egypt, Chad and South Sudan, with small numbers arriving in Ethiopia and the Central African Republic. Following the influx of Sudanese, the UN Refugee Agency has sounded the alarm, calling for more humanitarian assistance to address the needs of people fleeing the war.
