The victims were not caught in the crossfire, but were shot at close range while clearly identifiable as aid workers. The victims were Spanish coordinator Mar\u00eda Hern\u00e1ndez Matas, Ethiopian health worker Yohannes Haleform Reda and driver Tedros Gebremariam. MSF halted operations in Tigray after the killings and now accuses the Ethiopian government of breaking its promise to investigate.
