Police, Protesters Clash During Demonstrations Against Poll Postponement

[allAfrica] Dakar — Protesters responded to the call from civil society and a coalition of political parties against President Macky Sall’s decision to postpone the presidential election from February 25 to December 15, 2024 by gathering in Dakar at Place de la Nation, and almost all other districts of Dakar, on Friday afternoon, February 8. The demonstrations are the start of a campaign against the Sall government.
